Two types of foam are generated during petrochemical operations:
Instantaneous foam explosions occur in crude oil separator units (separator). Intense foam formation leads to uncontrolled flows and consequent shutdowns and overflows in scrubber units.
Another situation that leads to foam formation is sudden pressure losses due to liquids containing impurities such as sludge and residues. Since our defoamer products have both antifoam and defoam effect, they control both existing and possible foam movements in the system.
